Energy Efficient Home Builders
This home was built with a goal of becoming the most energy efficient home in the Wiregrass area. Many measures were taken and techniques were employed to accomplish this goal. Recently, a representative from Wiregrass Electric performed an energy audit on this home and I am elated to announce that we succeeded! This super energy efficient home yielded the best numbers ever recorded for a Wiregrass Electric energy audit. With an ANNUAL AIR CHANGE RATE OF .14 per hour, this home has seemingly no air leakage. It was estimated that the yearly cost of air leakage from heating and cooling will only amount to about $7.00 per year. As a result, the electric bills are fantastic. Subtracting the pool, the electric bill is averaging between $50 to $100 for a 3800 square foot home. Adding the pool, it averages around $150 to $175 a month. With three air conditioners, twenty foot ceilings, and a pool, this home has become the Wiregrass benchmark of energy efficiency.

This recognition has been an honor, but we are excited to know that we have been offering many of these same energy efficient measures to our customers at no extra cost for years. It is just the way we have always done things.
