Meet Us!
Scott Childers is the owner of Southern Home Builders LLC. He has been building homes in the Wiregrass area since 2000. As a graduate of Troy University, Scott believes that continued education within the building industry is key to producing innovative homes and retaining the highest level of customer satisfaction.
When you choose Southern Home Builders, Scott will oversee the progression and quality of your new home. He will make you feel comfortable and excited, and he will be available when you need talk. You will find him to be constantly available to communicate. This eases the stress of building your home and allows you to concentrate on the creative choices that will help him build the home of your dreams.
Of course, Scott can't do any of this without great help. The staff of SHB is the real secret to success. Our staff includes:
-Kerry Eganya, superintendent of new construction.
-Doug Wright, superintendent of new construction,
-Gary Bowman, project manger, point of contact for new customers.
-Charla Childers, Office manager, bookkeeper, and boss of the boys!
-Our subcontractors, the best that our area has to offer and loyally retained through many years of great service.
Southern Home Builders has earned reputation for building energy efficient custom homes in the Wiregrass at a reasonable price. A long list of references proves that they are honorable and very easy to work with.
Many builders don't want to deal with customers and presold homes, they thrive on it and appreciate the relationships.
Give them a call, and you will enjoy the building process.

Three out the last Five years!!!
(Runner up the other two years)
A great honor for Southern Home Builders!
In additon...
We are bonded and insured with General Liability and Workman's Compensation Insurance. This insurance is very expensive and many builders will not pay for it. That puts the homeowner liable for things they cannot control. You could be sued for their mistakes and negligence! Always use an insured contractor and make sure you verify these credentials before doing business with one.
